This class project explores Ellrose’s connection to upstate New York, a place many overlook but one that has shaped her in ways she appreciates more over time. By using both old footage and newly captured scenes surrounding her college town in the same region, she reflects on her memories here and how they continue to influence her.

In honor of Ellrose’s father, Kevin Hanlon, a non-smoker who bravely faced lung cancer for over three years, this film is a tribute to the adventurous spirit he instilled in her. Through this short glimpse into their shared love for wildlife, she hopes others find inspiration to cherish the beauty around them and seize the fun in life, just as her dad did.
